Another holly jolly holiday season is upon us. While some businesses deck the halls and hang their stockings with care sometime in October, others are just starting to realize this most festive time of year is actually underway. Regardless of what group you are in, it’s not too late to get in the spirit of the season and show your clients, customers, and colleagues you have them in your heart, and a brilliant way to do this is with custom greeting card printing.
While writing out personalized cards by hand like grandma always did for the family would be nice, this just isn’t practical. Custom cards printed for your business make the most sense for many entrepreneurs and managers, and if you are sending one to someone special, a quick hand written message in those important cards is perfect.
So where do these cards come from? Printing companies–like Newprint–are able to turn out as many cards as you need to share the spirit of the season with those who do business with you. And no, it’s not too late to order these!
Available in different sizes, card stocks, and finishes, there are different printing methods available, depending on your needs. We offer digital printing for shorter runs (of 25 to 5,000 cards) and fast turnarounds, but larger orders are still ready relatively quickly with our offset printing. If you don’t know what’s right for you, we are happy to help, and we can even help you with the most important aspect of custom greeting card printing: the design.
For your custom greeting cards, you want to be sure your artwork speaks volumes! Either your own artist or one of the talented graphic artists on the Newprint team needs to make something that gets your message across. This should start with attractive cover art that conveys the spirit of the season while staying true to your brand–think subtle logo placement, on-brand colours, and maybe even some text. And then the same spirit should continue into the interior with maybe some additional artwork and warm words. Everything about these cards should reflect who you are as a business or brand, while still being for your customers–which translates: don’t turn your custom cards into an advertisement!
While it may be tempting to track down pre-existing artwork to save time, we urge you not to do it! If your card ends up looking just like the one your client received from your competitor, you may look unoriginal. Even if the design you find isn’t often used, it still won’t be unique to you, which will make the card forgettable, undermining the marketing momentum you could have had from custom greeting card printing.
Custom greeting card printing is a great way to spread holiday cheer! However, be sure to stick with that custom part to make a marketing moment without creating an ad. And don’t hesitate another moment if you don’t want the holiday season, and the opportunity to wish your customers well, to pass you by!
